System Requirements

The EFI kits are designed for use with engines that are basically stock. A stock fuel pump should be adequate, however many pumps decline performance over the years and it is important to have a fuel pump that meets NEW specs. Use only premium grade pump gasoline (92+ octane) or unleaded racing fuel. In many instances, a high output ignition and freer-flowing exhaust system may benefit performance. Do not use aftermarket chips or other devices that advance ignition timing, as detonation may occur.

Here's the easiest way to get some serious power for electronically fuel injected engines. Each system has been engineered for the exact application and fully compatible with OEM equipment. The important thing to remember is that -unlike other types of performance modifications- nitrous oxide systems don't affect day-to-day driving and fuel economy. When the NOS system isn't activated (which is 99% of the time) the engine is its normal, docile self. Only when you "hit the button" does the motor go for the jugular!

GM 5.0 & 5.7 LITER T.Pl.    
One of our most popular NOS systems is for 5.0-5.7L Tuned Port Injection Camaros and Firebirds (1985-92), including IROC and Z-28, and 1985-91 Corvette. This easily installed system features a spray bar plate which mounts between the throttle body and the plenum. The system can be adjusted (with provided jets) to produce between 100 and 150 extra horsepower. A throttle activated microswitch is used for system activation. Each system comes with all required plumbing and hardware -and includes a detailed instruction manual that also serves as an excellent tuning guide. Note: Not for use on LT-1 engines.

NOS has kits for most every vehicle equipped with throttle body injection. This includes 2.8 and 4.3 liter V-6s, 5.0 and 5.7 liter small blocks and 454 c.i.d. big blocks. Special 50-state emissions legal kits (EO #D-266) are available for many of these applications. Naturally, the amount of power obtained will depend on the base engine and scope of modifications (these systems can be used effectively with stock engines).
